Fair Trade Fair

Nov 08

St. Basil the Great Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., will host the 22nd annual Fair Trade Fair on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, which will take place in the church's Family Life Center, will allow guests to "shop with a conscience," knowing that the artisans and growers represented by the show's vendors receive a living wage and a fair price for their work, have decent working conditions and a long-term commitment from buyers that provides reasonable security for the producers and their families.

Among the many items available for purchase will be women's beaded necklaces, bracelets and purses; Middle Eastern spices and olive oil; woven sweaters and ponchos; African shea butter soaps and lotions; fair trade chocolate and coffee; unique Christmas ornaments; purses and jewelry made from recycled materials; and more.

There will be a free will offering for Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza.
