Elementary farewell tours scheduled for June 25

The community is invited to take one last walk through the halls of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District’s elementary schools on Saturday, June 25. The three schools, Chippewa Elementary, Highland Drive Elementary and Hilton Elementary, will be closed permanently following the conclusion of the 2021-2022 school year as the district’s new consolidated elementary school will open for classes this fall. The open houses, which coincide with Brecksville Home Days, will take place from 9 a.m.-noon at Chippewa Elementary; from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Highland Drive Elementary; and Hilton Elementary from 1-4 p.m. Volunteers will be available at all three schools to lead guided tours, however, visitors also will be permitted to take self-guided tours. Memorabilia will be displayed showcasing classes as well as staff members. ∞
