Cuyahoga Valley Genealogical Society
The Cuyahoga Valley Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Willow Room of the Independence Civic Center, 6363 Selig Blvd. Members and interested public are invited.
The meeting’s presentation will be “Cleveland’s Ohio City Neighborhood,” presented by Tom Kaschalk. He will bring Ohio City’s history to life through rare photographs and stories.
In just a few square miles on Cleveland’s west side, you’ll find the oldest continuously operating public market in America, a stop on the Underground Railroad, Ohio’s most haunted building, a boulevard of Victorian mansions that once rivaled anything in the city and a brewing tradition stretching from 19th-century German lager empires to today’s nationally celebrated craft breweries.
Coffee and refreshments will be served. For additional information, contact cuyahogavalleygensociety@gmail.com.
