June 1—A male was charged with an OVI after driving his truck into a utility pole on North Boyden Road.

June 2—Officers were called to a Morning Star Trail residence by a female who wanted her boyfriend to leave after they had a fight.

June 6—Sagamore police officers aided a Macedonia police unit with pursuit of a motor vehicle at the intersection of Olde Eight and Valley View roads. The vehicle in question was stolen out of Sagamore Hills in May. One of three suspects was found after fleeing the vehicle on foot.

June 9—A man reported a tenant at an Olde Eight Road business was harassing him and being belligerent with guests at the business.

A resident on Pipes Court reported potential trouble with her neighbor when she found a liquid substance on some of her belongings in a shared garage.

June 10—During a traffic stop on Springpond Road, police found a 19-year-old driver to be in possession of marijuana and unopened alcoholic beverages.

June 11—Police responded to a Meadowview Drive residence after the mother of a female called saying her daughter was scared because of her boyfriend’s drinking. She asked police to state they were there for a noise complaint so the boyfriend wouldn’t know her daughter wanted the police.

Officers responded to a Smithfield Drive residence for report of trespassing. The resident and his friend had gotten into an argument and the friend refused to leave.

Police responded to an open burn at a business on Olde Eight Road.

June 13—A delivery driver reported a possible dog bite from a dog at a Glencrest Road residence.

The female from the June 11 trespassing incident reported her phone as stolen at the Smithfield Drive residence.

June 15—A woman reported a case of fraud after depositing a check into her account from a company claiming it wanted to hire her.

Police responded to an Olde Eight Road restaurant for report of telecommunications harassment from former employees.

June 21—An officer assisted the Northfield Village Police Department with an assault case and booking the suspect, who became combative at the police station.

June 22—Officers responded to a potential domestic abuse incident in a vehicle on Dunham Road. Both parties claimed the argument was only verbal.

June 23—Police responded to a Trimble Place residence for a welfare check on a male who sent concerning text messages to a friend and then stopped responding. The male stated he had a drinking problem, was depressed, and wanted to get help.

A female on Geddes Bluff called police regarding a contractor not completing work.

During a traffic stop on Dunham Road, officers cited the driver for OVI and operating without reasonable control and open container in a motor vehicle.

June 24—Officers responded to a Gannett Road residence for report of a civil matter between the tenant and building owner.

June 25—Police were flagged down about a person lying in Valley View Road after falling off his bike.

June 26—A female reported fraudulent activity in her bank account totaling $275.

June 27—A man reported fraudulent charges made with his debit card while he was in Florida totaling $3,526.

June 28—A female resident filed a fraud report after a credit card account was opened in her name.

June 28—Officers and medics responded to a McMaster Court residence for report of a woman not breathing. She was pronounced dead due to natural causes.

June 30— Police responded to a vehicle near the intersection of Dunham and Valley View roads. A female had exited the vehicle and was bleeding after hitting her face on the dashboard when the vehicle swerved. An officer shouted at the vehicle to stop and it drove away. A short pursuit took place, ending on South Gannett Road. The male driver was intoxicated and was arrested for OVI, BAC refusal, fleeing and eluding, and stop sign violation. ∞
