Superintendent’s Corner
by Dana Addis
If you have school-aged children, you probably have started thinking about their return to school for the 2026-2027 school year. There will be new clothes to purchase, supplies to buy and routines to reestablish. Hopefully, the summer has given your children time to laugh, play and make memories on a more relaxed schedule.
But we do want to provide you with some important dates as our Hudson Explorers prepare to return later this month. It is always an exciting time – whether students are among the youngest in the district heading off to school for the first time or they are seniors preparing for the final year in their Hudson educational journey.
Soon, you will receive a district postcard in the mail from the communications office with important Open House dates for the upcoming school year. I want to include those here, as well.

Finally, I want to extend a warm welcome to two new administrators joining our team this year, including our new Director of Technology Ryan Morton. Most recently, Mr. Morton was with the South Euclid Lyndhurst City Schools. Also, Alex Popovich has joined the Hudson High School team as a new unit principal. Mr. Popovich worked with Twinsburg City Schools for more than two decades. We are thrilled to have them both become Explorers.
This will be my fifth year as superintendent of Hudson City Schools, and I am as excited as ever to get started! We will see our students back very soon. Until then, enjoy the rest of summer.
