National Park Service reopens Towpath section closed for emergency repairs

The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail has reopened at Tinker’s Creek Aqueduct, .05 miles south of Canal Exploration Center in Valley View. The trail had been closed since June 24 for emergency repairs.

“The National Park Service is grateful to the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District for providing equipment and staff support to enable the rapid repair through its Regional Stormwater Management Program,” said Craig Kenkel, Cuyahoga Valley National Park superintendent.
