Winter Wonders at the Lodge of Richfield Heritage Preserve

Winter Wonders will be held at the Lodge of Richfield Heritage Preserve on Saturday, Dec. 3, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Delicious, pre-packaged Christmas cookies will be available for $15/lb. Several artisans will offer their handcrafted items for purchase. Horse-drawn carriage rides will take place from 12-2 p.m. The charge will be $10 for adults, $5 for children 2-12-years old, and children under two are free.

Photo ops with Sunny the Reindeer Horse will take place between 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Father Christmas and some of his trusted elves ride the trails on horseback and hand out candy canes to park visitors between 2-4 p.m.  Free holiday craft-making, cookie decorating, and face painting will be offered for the younger guests.

Miss Diane, from the Richfield Branch Library, will share holiday stories fireside at 1:45, 2:30, 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. An outdoor StoryWalk® featuring “Santa’s Stuck” by Rhonda Gowler Greene, will be accessible throughout the event. 

Friends merchandise will be sold, and refreshments offered for a donation. Attendees are encouraged to bring an ornament, representing a special memory or in commemoration of someone, or to make one at the event to place on the Memory Tree, which will be located by The Lodge.
