Wings of Women STEM conference

Registration is now live for the International Women’s Air & SpaceMuseum’s 2022 Wings of WomenSTEM conference. This event welcomes high school-aged young women across northeast Ohio to explore potential STEM careers, engage in hands-on activities, and learn from mentors in the field in small group settings. The conference welcomes Dr. Deborah Chung, mechanical and aerospace engineering professor at the University of Buffalo, as the keynote. Six other women in natural sciences, veterinary medicine, air traffic control, aerospace engineering and astronomy will join her. Hosted at the IWASM in Burke Lakefront Airport, students will have the opportunity to find the right fit for their future career and education goals. WOW takes place on Saturday, Oct.8, from 8a.m.-2p.m. Registrationis free, but prior application is required. Participants will be provided a light breakfastand lunch.
