Tree lighting event

The city’s tree lighting and Santa drive-through event will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Elmwood Park. Residents can register their children ages 10 and under via the city’s website to receive a gift from Santa. Deadline is Nov. 28. Families in the Santa drive-through can decorate their vehicle for a chance to win a prize for the most festive set of wheels.

In addition to holiday light displays, the event will feature Mrs. Claus, a live reindeer, an ice sculptor and a cash-only Christmas market that includes trees, chocolates and ornaments. The event concludes with a fireworks display.
