Sunshine Week presentation
For 20 years, National Sunshine Week has shone a light on the importance of public records and open government. It is a reminder that the people have a right to know what is going on in government. It encourages transparency and accountability in government and promotes citizen engagement in the working of our government.
This year, Sunshine Week is March 16-22. The League of Women Voters of Hudson will commemorate Sunshine Week with a special presentation at the Hudson Library on March 13, at 6:30 p.m., in the Flood Room. LWVH will discuss the legislative history of Sunshine Week, First Amendment Rights and the nonpartisan collaboration among groups in journalism, civic organizations, education, government and private sectors. This event is open to the public.
