Memorial Day Parade

The Hinckley Memorial Day parade will take place on Monday, May 30. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church,1088 Ridge Rd., and will proceed to the Veteran War Memorial Park for a wreath-laying ceremony and a moment of silence. At that time, the parade will continue to its final destination, the Administration Building at 1410 Ridge Rd. where the final ceremony will take place. This year’s guest speaker will be Hinckley’s own Deacon Bruce Dobbins of Our Lady of Grace Church. The ceremony will include the award for Hinckley Citizen of the Year and will feature scouts, local pastors, the Highland High School Marching Band, the Hinckley Board of Trustees and other members of the township administration and police, fire and service departments. At the conclusion of the ceremony, refreshments will be served by members of the Hinckley Women’s Club and doughnuts will be supplied by the Hinckley Chamber of Commerce. The township’s Memorial Day Committee encourages all children, clubs, cars and organizations to join in the parade.
