Brecksville Human Services Center provides flu shots

Oct03

9:30 am - 11:00 a.m.

The Brecksville Human Services Center will provide flu shots administered by MetroHealth for Brecksville residents.

Flu shot day will be Monday, Oct. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Call the human services center at 440-526-2499 to make an appointment.

MetroHealth will accept most insurance plans, Medicare or Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans. There is no co-pay. If you don’t have insurance the shot is $25 cash. No change will be given.

The high-dose shot will not be available. The “Quadrivalent” shot, which covers four strains of the flu, will be administered. Residents should bring a photo ID and insurance card (medical and pharmacy, if separate.) Please be aware that individuals are encouraged to wear a mask in the vaccination room. There will be forms to complete before shots are administered. Participants are asked to bring the name of their primary care physician and her or his telephone number.

If you still haven’t had the COVID vaccination shot(s) a flu shot is highly recommended. ∞
