Brecksville celebrates two anniversaries

Two score and 10 years ago, Brecksville City Hall moved from Old Town Hall to its brand new home on Brecksville Road. The year was 1972.

Twenty years later, in September of 1992, the ribbon cutting for the Brecksville Community Center took place.

Now, city hall will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 pm.

Join the city for the celebration, which will include the opening of the time capsule, raffles and light refreshments. And if you were in city hall in September, 1997 for the 25th anniversary celebration, city officials invite you to attend the celebration and be recognized. You’ll also receive a city of Brecksville timeline from 1972 to date.

The community center will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 25 from noon-3 p.m. with light refreshments. The celebration will continue on Monday, Sept. 26th, again with light refreshments. ∞
