Appalachian collection
The 35th annual Appalachian Collection will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., at St. Basil the Great Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., in Brecksville.
The collection will not be open Sunday.
Two 53-foot trailers will again be available this year to fill with items that will be sent to the Christian Appalachian Project serving those in need in eastern Kentucky. Lightly used or new donations of household goods including small appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, sheets, blankets, towels, men’s and women’s clothing and children’s clothing and toys will be accepted.
