Aug. 1—Officers took a report of harassment between two men at a Spring Pond Road residence.
Aug. 2—Police responded to a domestic dispute between a father and son on N. Gannett Road. The son was transported to the hospital due to his mental state.
Aug. 6—Police dispatched an injured deer on Valley View Road.
Aug. 7—A Chaffee Road resident reported unauthorized use of a vehicle. The resident’s son had taken his mother’s vehicle without permission and had a suspended license.
Aug. 9—Officers aided Northfield Village police with a disturbance between a male and female that began at Eaton Ridge Apartments and moved to outside Lee Eaton Elementary when the male was driving away. The couple was fighting about their romantic relationship.
Aug. 11—A Waterside Drive resident stated someone broke into his home and stole his blood pressure medication. There was no forced entry into the home and officers believed the resident was having a mental health episode.
Aug. 11—Police responded to a medical emergency at a Dunham Road residence. The male in the home had been having chest pains and was unconscious. Police and Macedonia EMS attempted chest compressions on the male but he was later pronounced dead.
Aug. 12—A Canterbury Lane resident reported her husband was missing when he didn’t come home at his usual time and his phones were turned off. She later made contact with him and he said he was still at work.
Aug. 13—A female resident took possession of her boyfriend’s wallet and keys when he was admitted to the hospital, but the boyfriend’s daughter did not want her to have them. Sagamore Police spoke to the male, who said his girlfriend should hold onto them, while Twinsburg Police stated she needed to give the items to the daughter. Sagamore Police held onto the items until the male was released from the hospital.
Aug. 15—Officers assisted in locating a suicidal female in the township, who was transported from her apartment on Greenwood Parkway to a hospital to see a psychiatric doctor.
Aug. 20—Police observed an unregistered dirt bike at Valley View Road near Crystal Creek Road. The driver gave chase after seeing the police. Officers terminated the pursuit for public safety.
Aug. 23—Officers responded to a Stuart Lane residence because of a 911 hang up. At the residence were two siblings who had been arguing about family and finances.
Aug. 27—Hawthorne Drive residents reported a vehicle driving recklessly on the street’s cul-de-sac.
Aug. 28—Police met with an Amazon driver at Canterbury and Fenton Court who had requested assistance for a dog bite.
Aug. 30—A resident reported a check fraud scam after the check he received for a vehicle he was selling online was not cleared by his bank.
Aug. 30—Police responded to a Smithfield Drive residence for report of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. ∞
