Excellence sustained with levy passage, board re-elections

To the Editor:

In the interest of continuing to build upon the long tradition of Hudson City School District excellence in an uninterrupted fashion, we urge Hudson City School District voters to:

• Vote YES on Issue 9 on or before Nov. 7 in support of the 5.5-mill Hudson Schools operating levy. This is the first school district operating levy in 12 years and is based upon current Summit County property valuations, not the new valuations that take effect next year. Passage of the levy will ensure the availability of adequate resources to continue student programming at current levels without the need for cutbacks.

• Vote to retain Hudson School Board incumbents Tom Tobin and Laura Jones as well as elect candidate Mark Dzurec to the board. Their experience, community involvement and commitment to our schools is unparalleled. Most importantly, they share in a common, singular agenda: to serve the best interests of Hudson students.

Thank you for doing your part in keeping our schools strong!
