Interim Superintendent’s Corner – Casey Wright

Stepping into the future

It’s an honor to serve as the interim superintendent of Nordonia Hills City Schools, and I want to take a moment to share my thoughts and vision as we embark on this journey together.

My roots in this district run deep, having spent 16 years here, first as the high school principal and then as the director of business. This community’s commitment to excellence and its unwavering dedication to our students have always inspired me. Now, I step into a new role, ready to contribute to a legacy of educational achievement that makes us all proud.

Nordonia Hills City Schools has a simple yet profound mission – to empower our students to achieve their dreams. Education, to me, is not just about facts and figures; it’s about preparing young minds for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in our ever-changing world.

As we celebrate recent accomplishments, such as our impressive five-star rating on the school report card, let’s remember that our mission goes beyond statistics. It’s about nurturing the growth of our students, equipping them with the tools to thrive, and instilling the resilience to tackle life’s uncertainties.

Our students are more than test scores; they are talented individuals with diverse interests. Whether it’s on the sports field, on the stage, in the arts, or through extracurricular activities, our students excel. The recent state championship victory by our girls’ bowling team is a testament to their dedication and teamwork.

The arts play a vital role in our district. Our students have graced prestigious venues like Severance Hall and Blossom Music Center, showcasing their talents. Programs like “Community Connections” demonstrate our commitment to uniting our community through art and creativity.

In the heart of our educational mission are the unsung heroes – our educators and mentors. They work tirelessly to shape the future, leaving an indelible mark on our students’ lives. Their dedication is the bedrock upon which our district stands.

Looking forward, we’re setting ambitious goals and working collaboratively to achieve them. Our commitment extends beyond academics to the well being of our students and active community engagement. Together, we can build a brighter future.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our community members and business leaders. Your unwavering support is crucial to our students’ success. Nordonia Hills City Schools is more than just buildings; it’s a promise to nurture future generations.

As your interim superintendent, I’m committed to our shared mission. Together, we’ll build on our achievements, address challenges and create an environment where our students can thrive.

Thank you for your support, and I’m excited about the future we’ll create together – a future filled with promise and achievement. ∞
