Township Corner

May 2, 2023, is Election Day. Please vote for our trash-hauling levy which, if passed, will continue the great service we receive for the same 1.1 mills.

The week of May 1 is the first of three weeks we offer free curbside chipping service to our residents. Please check our website for information.

Speaking of our website, it is undergoing a much-needed revamp to better serve our residents. Enhancements coming soon include a more user-friendly design; an online ability to submit forms, make requests and payments; and a new notification system for those who register that will alert them via text or email to important Township events or emergencies. The Township logo is also being redesigned.

More specific notification will be forthcoming, but road paving in Glencairn Forest will begin soon. This year’s schedule includes Glencairn Forest Drive, Shetland Trail, MacDonald Circle, Robert Burns Drive, Turnbury Drive, Skye Ridge Drive, Douglas Drive, Muirwood Drive, McCrea Lane, Crawford Drive, and Highland Circle. While this is certainly necessary, it will be an inconvenience. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thanks to:

The five excellent candidates for two openings on our Richfield Joint Recreation District Board. All of them had attributes that would have been beneficial. Congratulations to Holly Price and Steve McPeake for their selection and service.
