Cuyahoga Valley Genealogical Society

The Cuyahoga Valley Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, March 6, at 7 p.m. Members and interested public are invited to attend in the Willow Room of the Independence Civic Center, 6363 Selig Blvd., in Independence.

Emily Ahlin will present “The Inestimable Value of Church Records.” It can often be difficult to trace family history through government documents. In many instances, church records are often the only chance someone may have at finding out more about their ancestors. This
talk will cover how to determine if church records could be useful for your research. It will also provide an overview of how the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland archives can help you, covering useful collections, policies and procedures, and other pertinent information.
All are welcome. Coffee and refreshments will be served. For additional information, email cuyahogavalleygensociety@alukasikgmail.com. ∞
