Recycle holiday lights

The Broadview Heights Service Department reminds residents that holiday lights are considered “tanglers” and should not be placed curbside for recycling. The same goes for other tanglers, such as power cords, that can cause problems and shutdowns at the local recycling facility. All broken, burned-out strings of lights, power strips and power cords can be dropped off at the city’s service garage off of Oakes Road by Jan. 16. There is a recycling bin outside the facility with a sign. Residents are asked to place all items loose in the recycle bin and take all bags and boxes used to transport the items home. ∞
