Water line construction update

According to Richfield Village Mayor Michael Wheeler, the contractor for the Cleveland Water line in the center of Richfield will install temporary paving on Broadview Road this week, starting at the intersection of Rt. 303 and going south to Grant Street. They will also pave Grant Street.

The contractor is only able to pave 400 feet per day, because steel plates will need to cover the paved section for three days to allow the concrete in the temporary pavement to cure.

Fabrizi Construction is continuing to install the water lines on Route 303 west of Route 176, so that will be the final section paved.

The village is installing 20 mile-per-hour speed signs in the work zones until the project is complete, which is estimated to be Feb. 6.

Wheeler is asking drivers to consider taking alternate routes during this construction period by Cleveland Water, and said he appreciates everyone’s patience. ∞
