The Grapevine

Christina Merk has completed the coursework as a master gardener intern through Ohio State. She will become a fully certified Master Gardener once she has completed 50 hours of volunteer service. 

Christina and her husband, Chris, are gardeners at Eastwood Preserve and donated two native Paw Paw trees to the property this summer. Christina will present a short program about the Paw Paw tree and its history as part of the Eastwood Preserve Speaker Series in March.

Ellen Daniels has completed training to become an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist after completing 50 hours of coursework through Ohio State and 40 volunteer hours. Ellen, who oversees the butterfly garden at Eastwood Preserve, will continue to steward Eastwood Preserve and hopes to utilize the training she has received to help protect and maintain the property.
