Holiday fireworks show lights up the downtown sky on Dec. 3

The City of Hudson and Hudson Community Foundation have partnered to host a special holiday season fireworks display in downtown Hudson on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 3.

“We see this as an opportunity to bring our community together for a family-oriented downtown event at a time of year when the green is festively lit for the holidays and our residents are looking for fun outdoor activities,” said HCF President Amy Jordan. “Moreover, this provides a chance for everyone to shop, dine and celebrate in our vibrant downtown area, supporting local merchants and restaurants that make Hudson unique and special.”

Fireworks will be set off by Hudson-based American Fireworks Company shortly after dusk – at approximately 6:30 p.m. – in a protected area near Veterans Way Park. The best spots for viewing the fireworks display safely will be in the downtown area, including the First & Main Green, the historic greens at state Routes 91 and 303, public sidewalks and public parking lots in the area of downtown. The best places to park will be the public parking lots downtown, the parking terrace and on street parking areas.

“Bringing this show downtown in December is a classic public-private partnership that includes public resources from the city, supported by private funds generously donated by local citizens through Hudson Community Foundation.”  said Chris Foster, president of Hudson City Council. ∞
