Olivia Leepart, Jonathan Madden, and Makala Jethrow have been awarded with academic honors from College Board’s National Recognition Programs for excelling on College Board assessments and in their classrooms. These three students were in the top 25th percentile in the nation of the over two million students who took the PSAT on national testing day. All three will receive academic letters of excellence for their achievement.

The Nordonia High School boys cross country team finished first at the Bruce Lerch Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 10. Chris Turner finished first and Nathan Gerhart finished third.

The NHS varsity girls golf team posted a school record of 305 at the Suburban League tournament at Fox Den in Stow to win the National Conference. The team went on to win the Suburban League National Championships at the end of September. After earning a 314 score at sectionals, the team advanced to districts. Sophomore golfer Julia Gulla was named the Suburban League National Conference Player of the Year.

Lucky Patel of Northfield was named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Summer 2022 President’s List. Megan Abate, of Sagamore Hills, has enrolled at the University of Findlay for fall 2022. Abate is pursuing a degree in forensic biology.
