Oct. 27 – Police were dispatched to Miller Road after an off-duty Cleveland police officer reported a male passed out behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Passat. Upon arrival, police discovered the vehicle was off the roadway with all tires on the grass and the vehicle’s transmission in reverse. The Michigan man, who refused to provide a breath sample, was arrested on charges of failure to maintain control of the vehicle while under the influence. His vehicle was impounded.

Oct. 18 – A 27-year-old Cleveland man was arrested after he was caught driving with a suspended license. Officers said they spotted the man fail to stop for a stop sign near the intersection of Snowville and Riverview roads. The man was also found to have a warrant for his arrest for driving with expired plates and driving under suspension and had two other warrants issued by the Willoughby Heights Police Department on theft charges. The man’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

Oct. 12 – A 23-year-old Warrensville Heights man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after he passed another vehicle, driving over a solid yellow line on Barr Road. The driver was found to have several active warrants from the Seven Hills, Walton Hills, Parma and South Euclid police departments. While searching the vehicle, police located a backpack containing suspected marijuana and another package under the passenger seat of the vehicle. The suspected marijuana was taken as evidence, and the driver was turned over to the custody of the Seven Hills Police Department. Oct. 10 – An employee of a Chippewa Road business contacted police after a customer came into the store to purchase a pair of Apple AirPods and left the story without paying. The complainant told police two of the woman’s credit cards had been declined, at which time the woman took the merchandise and walked out of the store. Police continue to investigate.
