Highland Community Education announces fall courses

Highland Community Education has several classes returning this fall, including with the in-person elementary after-school classes Mad Science, Brixology, Crayola Arts Academy and Eager Engineers. New virtual options are also available. Sign up for Sewing Basics or a Spanish class for students in grades K-8, which includes the entire family.

New virtual coding and programming classes are available for students up to grade 12 and Hummingbirds Soccer will again be offered for little ones this fall. Saturday morning options will include cooking, mixed martial arts and basketball – all held at Highland High School. High school students have the opportunity to enroll in ACT and SAT test preparation classes in the evenings, on Saturdays or during the school day, while adults have the option to sign up for courses on beekeeping, CPR, retirement planning, virtual voiceovers, smoking cessation and weight loss seminars.

A detailed brochure, along with the registration form, is posted on the Highland district website, highlandschools.org. Evening and Saturday classes are not restricted to Highland residents. For questions, enrollment or more information, please email Highland Community Education Director Mary Fran Kudla at mkudla@highlandschools.org. ∞
