Kiwanis collecting for Heart of Revere at Community Day

Heart of Revere offers free used clothing, shoes, spirit wear, home goods, newly packaged personal items and school supplies to assist those who are dealing with a financial hardship and are living in the Revere schools community. The nonprofit will have a display of items that are contained in their Heart Boxes at Richfield Community Day on Aug. 14.

Bath-Richfield Kiwanis is helping Heart of Revere with operating expenses this year. In addition, the signature, blue Kiwanis Kans will be set up at Community Day to collect toiletry donations such as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Monetary donations will also be gratefully accepted.

Heart of Revere will offer samples of their Heart Box, a free monthly clothing subscription, and provide applications to those interested. A limited supply of backpacks filled with school supplies courtesy of both Heart of Revere and Bath Church, will also be offered to local students. These offerings are intended to help ease financial burdens.

A community member or student who is in need and unable to attend Richfield Community Days may email heartofrevere@gmail.com. Heart of Revere’s normal donation drop-off location is on Ira Road but it will be closed July 18-Aug. 21. ∞
