Revere students garner accomplishments

Revere High School senior Jeanne Hujer received an Honorable Mention under the 2022 Division II Girls Basketball All-Ohio Teams.

CVCC Sports Medicine student Abigail Gayner from Revere took first place in Sports Medicine at the Ohio HOSA State Leadership Conference.

RHS juniors Nicolas Cultrona and Louis Reynolds, and senior Abigail Gayner were inducted into the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center’s National Technical Honor Society.

Revere students Nicole Coveney and Claire Palopoli will have their art displayed at the Rhodes office tower for the 52nd Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition. Nathan Cronin won the New York Life Award and will have his art displayed at the Pratt Inst. of Art in NYC.

RHS teacher Joanne Gillette and the RHS Math League Team were recognized at the Ohio State House during the Senate’s session for the team’s three consecutive state titles, including its most recent win at the 2021 Ohio Math League. Math League Team members include Drake Du, Rohit Dasanoor, Will Krew, Kaitlyn Borcherding, Joshua Johns, Philip Liu, Neal Pannala, Tyra Shin, Lance Choi, Abhay Adury, Bella Pignataro, and Sam Bockstoce.

The following are Ohio PTA Reflections Contest winners in the Revere School district:

Richfield Elementary student Dorothy Archinal received an outstanding achievement award in music composition for her piece, “Make the World a Better Place.” Also at the elementary level, Brynn Joy earned an honorable mention in the visual arts category for her piece, “Friendship, Love, and Hugs.”

Revere Middle School student Andrew Ash received an honorable mention for his photography piece titled “Perspective.” RMS student Mallory Bernatovicz was awarded with outstanding achievement in the visual arts category for her work titled, “Healing Headdress.”

RHS junior Ava Ash’s painting, “Nature: The Substance of Change” received an honorable mention. ∞
