The Bath Business Association is sponsoring the tenth annual Bath Community Garage Sale on June 11, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
“The garage sale is a great way to de-clutter your home and make some extra cash,” said Kelley Brubaker, BBA secretary and garage sale committee chair. “There should be an amazing selection of items this year since we’re coming out of nearly two years of the pandemic.”
The sale typically includes 50 to over 100 individual participating locations scattered throughout Bath, with sites listed on a garage sale map and marked by signage. The sale map will be available in the June 9 West Side Leader.
Cost to participate is $20, and participation is limited to residents or businesses in Bath Township. The cost covers a numbered listing; a brief description of items for sale at each location; advertising promotions; and signage and balloons the day of the sale.
New this year, The Bath Church, 3980 W. Bath Rd., is opening half of their back parking lot to anyone who wishes to participate in the garage sale but not at their personal residence. Interested parties should use the available registration form but list the church address of 3980 W. Bath Rd. as the garage sale site. Spots are limited and availability is on a first-registered basis.
Registration forms for the Bath Community Garage Sale are in this issue of the Bath Country Journal and available for download on bathbusinessassociation.com. In addition, registration forms will be available at The Bake Shop in Ghent, 800 Wye Rd. and Colonial Pharmacy, 1915 N. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Registration deadline is May 22, and pre-payment is required. The fee for participation is refundable should the sale be canceled for any reason.
“As always, this year’s proceeds will go towards funding a scholarship award for a graduating high school senior living in Bath who is planning to pursue further study in business,” said Brubaker.
