Spring in Northeast Ohio brings the return of migrating songbirds, daffodils, and heralds the Bath Volunteers for Service’s annual Tour of Distinctive Homes. This year, BVS will again offer a virtual tour of seven unique and elegant homes for ticket holders and sponsors to enjoy from the comfort of their own home, 24 hours a day, from June 1-12. Each of the featured homes will be professionally filmed and narrated, with a focus on the home’s history, cherished family heirlooms, and the distinctive and personal touches that set each property apart from another. Several of the homes will also feature gardens that complement the living space.
Since 1958, the Bath Volunteers for Service, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to bettering the community through volunteer service and awarding grants to local nonprofits serving people in the Greater Akron area. The annual Tour of Distinctive Homes has been the major funding source for these grants thanks to the support of tour participants, gracious homeowners and generous sponsors. Proceeds from the 2021 home tour made it possible for BVS to award more than $33,000 in grants to many local nonprofits for the benefit of students, friends and neighbors in need.
To learn more about sponsorship and advertising opportunities (May 1 deadline for advertising), or to purchase your ticket to the tour, visit BVShometour.org. “Presenting,” “diamond,” and “platinum” level sponsors will have an opportunity to tour several of the homes in person. Sponsors at the gold level and above will receive an invitation to a limited-access sponsor appreciation party held on the evening of June 1.
