Sagamore Hills native Ben Dodds, sophomore at Mount Union University, was chosen to be a Regula Scholar at the college for the 2022-23 school year. The program runs through Mount Union’s Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement and provides scholars with stipends for internships, conferences, travel and other programs.

Students are chosen through a nomination process and must complete 150 hours of service. The Regula Center engages in social justice projects such as wrapping Christmas presents for families in need, donating food to community food pantries, and creating young student literacy kits. Dodds was one of eight students chosen to participate.

Sagamore Hills resident Alanna Dowdy recently competed in Tri-C’s annual “High School Rock Off” competition as a vocal soloist. She made it to the finals as one of ten artists who performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Alanna attends Walsh Jesuit High School. ∞
