Zoning fees increase for public hearings

Sagamore Hills Trustees approved an amendment to the township’s zoning fee schedule that increases the fee for public hearings from $400 to $500. The change was effective in January, and Zoning Inspector Ray Fantozzi said the fee relates to hearings before the board of zoning appeals and for conditional use permits.

“This change was done solely to recoup expenses for calling such a meeting,” he said. These expenses include paying board members, sending out certified mailings and administrative and print media notifications. ∞
