Cabin Fever Tour

The Richfield Historical Society is holding its annual Cabin Fever Tour on Saturday, March 19 as a way to support local businesses in the area. Created in 2009, the event showcases local history and entrepreneurship spotlighting art, antiques, cuisine, floral arrangements, gardening, gift items, home furnishings and more in Richfield, Broadview Heights, Hinckley and Peninsula.

Richfield establishments that will welcome guests include Carter Manor (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), Country Maid Ice Cream (12-8 p.m.), Countryside Florist (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), Ohio Hardwood Furniture (11 a.m.-5 p.m.), Olesia’s Taverne of Richfield (opens for dinner at 4 p.m., reservation required), P.O.C.’s Pierogi Market (10 a.m.-5 p.m.), Polka Dot Pincushion (11 a.m.-3 p.m.), Richfield Branch Library (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), Richfield Heritage Preserve (open from dawn to dusk – enjoy a hike and take in the park’s natural beauty as well as charming historic structures), Richfield Historical Society (10 a.m.-1 p.m.), Somerville Antiques & Folk Art (10 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Stitches & Stowaways (10 a.m.-4 p.m.).

In Broadview Heights, Transitional Design will participate from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The following establishments will be part of the tour in Hinckley: Greensmith Garden & Gift Shop (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), Hinckley Historical Society (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Minnehaha Water (9 a.m.-1 p.m.).

In Peninsula, the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum (12-4 p.m.), Peninsula Library & Historical Society (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), River Light Gallery (11 a.m.-4 p.m.), and Trail Mix Peninsula (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) will offer relief from your cabin fever.
