Spacek named finalist in Shining Star CLE 2021

Leah Spacek, a junior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, was recently named a top-10 finalist for the upcoming Shining Star CLE 2021 competition.

The solo singing competition provides Northeast Ohio high school students the opportunity to showcase their talents and compete for college scholarships. This year’s program will be conducted virtually and will be live-streamed at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29.

Spacek will be singing the Elton John song, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” as part of her performance.

A diverse panel of six judges representing various segments of the music and performing arts industry, including Grammy-nominated songwriter Jim Brickman, will help select the winning performers.

The Menorah Park Foundation produces shining Star CLE and proceeds from the event will support memory care programs at Menorah Park.
