Brecksville Nutrition to offer shakes, supplements and personal wellness coaching

Brecksville residents who want to lead a healthier lifestyle will soon have a new place to buy herbal supplements, shakes and teas. Brecksville Nutrition, affiliated with health and wellness company Herbalife, will open in the coming months at 8914 Brecksville Rd.

Rachel Leheney, who co-owns Brecksville Nutrition with Jacob Horoszko, said they do not have an opening date for the store yet, but they have developed a menu.

“We’ll be offering meal replacement shakes, energizing teas, protein coffee and boosters,” said Leheney, a 2019 North Royalton High School graduate.

In keeping with the Herbalife business model, Brecksville Nutrition will also offer one-on-one coaching with clients.

“We work with people individually to achieve their personal results,” Leheney said.

That often means weight loss, which Herbalife targets with supplements and meal-replacement shakes. But some customers just want to learn how to eat healthier and have more energy, Leheney said.

Herbalife, founded in 1980, follows the controversial multi-level marketing business model. Participants in an MLM company make commissions by recruiting other people to become “distributors,” who in turn educate people about Herbalife and sell the products directly to customers.

Herbalife said the model offers distributors freedom and flexibility through independent work.

“Our products are available exclusively through educated and trained Herbalife Nutrition distributors who provide comprehensive and personalized solutions to their customers’ nutrition and wellness goals,” the company’s website reads. “Distributors are independent entrepreneurs who set up their own businesses and decide when and where they work and do so on their own terms.”

Leheney said she and Horoszko look forward to working with customers.

“We love our customers and care about them,” she said. “We can sit down with you and have one-on-one guides to achieving your personal results while staying healthy and fit at home. We are also pet-friendly, and all our products are safe for kids.”

As for why they chose Brecksville as the location for a brick-and-mortar store, Leheney said, “We both grew up in Brecksville, and Brecksville has our hearts!” For updates, visit Brecksville Nutrition on Facebook.
