Feb. 9-24: Coffee House production of “Almost, Maine”

Posted: January 19, 2018

“Almost, Maine” is the Broadview Heights Spotlights’ annual Coffee House production. It runs Feb. 9-24. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., and there will be a Sunday matinee on Feb. 18, at 3 p.m. All shows will be at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, 9543 Broadview Rd., next to the police station.

There will be a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic) and an extended intermission where desserts will be available for purchase. Coffee House sponsors include Caruso’s Coffee, Michael Angelo’s Bakery, and Creekside Cafe. Tickets are $13 for adults and $12 for seniors. For reservations, visit broadview-heights-spotlights.org. For information, call 440-526-4404.

“Almost, Maine” is not organized enough for a town and too populated for a wilderness. Propelled by the mystical energy of the aurora borealis, playful and surreal experiences are commonplace in the world of John Cariani’s “Almost, Maine.” The show is directed by Christopher Bizub and co-produced by Annette Phelps and Karen Johnston. The cast includes Austin Sasser, Bob Kenderes, Casey McCaan, Dan Hunsicker, Elaine Gritti, Emmy Cohen, Jenilee Taylor, Kaylea Kudlaty, Natalie Zenczak, Sally Spitz, Sarah Price and Stephanie Malfara.
