Posted: May 19, 2017

The city of Broadview Heights will observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 29. A parade will serve as the gathering ceremony for the memorial service, which honors fallen soldiers. It will step off from the Crossings Shopping Center at 9 a.m., on Broadview Road, just north of Route 82. Veterans, dignitaries, military families, sports teams, organizations, businesses, classic cars, and marching bands from Brecksville-Broadview Heights and North Royalton high schools will participate. Spectators are invited to join the end of the parade and follow it to Broadview Center, where there will be a memorial ceremony, veteran tribute and complimentary refreshments.

The Recreation Center will be free of charge to all residents from 6 a.m.-noon. Adult swim will take place from 6-9 a.m., and open swim will run 9-11:30 a.m. The splash park will open for the season at 11 a.m. on Memorial Day.
