Feb. 1 – Police cited a man on two counts of theft and one count of drug paraphernalia after they found him with $598 worth of items stolen from a Rockside Road drug store and two marijuana pipes. The man told police he had stolen items from the store on another occasion.

A man reported he lost his wallet with $370 cash at a Brecksville Road gas station.

Feb. 2 – A man was cited for theft after he stole a $30 pair of headphones from a Rockside Road drug store.

Feb. 3 – An employee at a Brecksville Road bowling alley reported her wallet was stolen from behind the front desk.

Feb. 4 – An employee at a Rockside Road hotel reported a man asking for change to do laundry gave her a counterfeit $50 bill.

Feb. 8 – A man was cited on two counts of theft after police found him with $114 worth of soap and deodorant stolen from a Rockside Road drug store stuffed in his pant leg. He told police he stole body wash and toothpaste from the same store on a previous occasion.

A driver reported $700 worth of damage to his car after he hit a pothole on Interstate 480.

Feb. 14 – A man reported a $3,000 pair of pipe jaws was stolen from his work van parked at a Rockside Road hotel.

A 19-year-old man was cited for the theft of two six-packs of Twisted Tea from a Rockside Road gas station.

Feb. 16 – A 40-year-old man was arrested for OVI, OVI refusal, a marked lanes violations and possession of marijuana after police pulled his car over on I-77 for straddling two lanes for several hundred yards and for weaving. He smelled of alcohol, and two open containers of alcohol were spilled in the back seat. He refused to perform standard field sobriety tests or give a breath sample. Police found marijuana in the center console of his car.

Feb. 17 – A 26-year-old man was charged with OVI, BAC and following too closely after he was pulled over for tailgating a car, changing lanes without a signal and weaving. He smelled of alcohol, did poorly on field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .120.

Feb. 19 – A man reported someone broke into his car parked at a Quarry Lane hotel and stole a $150 GPS unit.

Feb. 20 – A man reported someone broke into his work van parked at the same Quarry Lane hotel and stole a GPS tablet worth an estimated $500.

Feb. 24 – EMS used three doses of Narcan to revive a woman passed out from a suspected drug overdose in a car parked in a Rockside Road parking lot.

Feb. 26 – An Uber driver reported that while she was taking a woman to her Independence workplace, a car tried to cut her off on I-77. The driver got into an argument with the passenger in the other car when they were stopped at Rockside Road. The passenger hung out the window with a gun and fired a single shot into the windshield. The bullet did not penetrate the window, and no injuries were reported. The car drove away.
